1999 Buick Park Avenue mileage/ trip area on dash

I have a1999 Buick Park Avenue with approximately 138,000 miles. The area on the dash which shows the mileage/trip miles went black. I checked all the fuses I found, hoping for an easy fix. Any suggestion? thanks

This is more common on Fords, but does happen to GM products too. If it is blank, chances are it needs replaced. There isn't a light that can be replaced.

If replaced would it show the current mileage on the car or mileage on car from old one? And about how much to replace and install
