start my car I hear a clicking noise?

When I start my car I hear a clicking noise, and it takes about 5 minutes of trying before it actually starts. Also, now the radio will not come on. I've been have trouble with the cables connected to the battery for awhile now.
I have always had problems with the battery cables connected to the battery. It starts eventually and runs. Sometimes it starts right away but sometimes it takes a few minutes....

what happens when it dont start? nothing at all? dash lights on?

Yes. Lights come on on the dash, air conditon works, power in car. But as of a yesterday the radio does not come on anymore.

sounds like bad connections like you say. i have had to replace connectors to get a good enough voltage to work right consistantly. just to check trans switch, have you tried starting in neutral too?

sounds like it could be a battery that has gone bad as well
