Is there any kind of temperary repair for my Brake Pipe Problem

The brake line/pipe for ABS for on first inspection appears to be the Left Front Brake has a hole in the mid section of the pipe just below the master cylinder it's a pin hole as I can see the brake fluid squirting out when my wife pumps the brake. The line/Pipe is metal and fairly rusted around the hole, is there any temperary fix for this ie some type of engineering putty or something similar? Or do you have any idea of the approximate cost of a full repair. ie replacing the complete line.The car is a Volvo V40/S40 1998 1.9 Turbo Diesel.

No temporary fix for this. Nothing will stand the pressure that is there. Since it is a safety issue, you need to replace the brake line with a new one.

Thanks for the quick response...I know its a long shot but any idea of approximate cost involved is it a big job etc? or if there is a rubber replacement instead of a metal pipe available? Thank you

You need to replace it with steel. As far as cost, it shouldn't be too expensive. It's a matter of removing and replacing the part and bleeding the air out of the system. I would say under a hundred bucks.
