1998 Volvo S70 Drive Belt

I need some tips on how I could replace my Drive Belt Tensioner on My 1998 Volvo S70 Non Turbo. Please Help!!!

Remove the plastic cover on the belt tensioner using a small screwdriver. Use a wrench and turn clockwise as far as possible to relieve the load on the belt. Then remove the belt. To replace the tensioner, remove both mounting screws from the auxiliaries belt bracket for the belt tensioner. Remove the tensioner. Install the new belt tensioner. 15Ft. Lbs torque spec for tensioner. Ensure the belt is correctly seated in all grooves on each pulley. If you do not have a belt routing diagram, be sure to draw one out on a piece of paper.

replace the belt at same time as 60k is recommended replacement for both. check on our site under how to repair diagrams for belt routing.

According to Volvo specifications, through normal driving conditions, the drive belts are replaced at 96K. I don't believe there is a service interval for belt tensioners.

what I gave is recommended specs , tensioners lose tension over time if you are in California then replacement is 105,000
