jetta problem

The windshield wipers and interior fan on my 1998 jetta tdi stopped working. I checked the fuses but they are OK. What else would cause this?

Both systems are not related where power supply is concerned and if they faied at the same time, the most likely cause would be a loose wire harness connection somewhere.

Start by checking for power supply to the wiper motor and blower fan motor.
