hello, my clutch recently failed on my Mk4 Golf. It is always engaged. I changed the disk and the metal plate that pushes the pins on the metal plate cause it had a hole in it an it was bent. I started the car whilst still on the axle stands and it seemed like it didn't want to go into gear?

Changed clutch master cylinder an metal pin that pushes on the pressure plate.

I love this site :-)

Always engaged as in not transferring torque to the transmission? Make sure the clutch fork and throwout bearing are able to move freely.
