I have recently started to lose quite a lot of water (the level falls around 1 inch every week). This seems to happen even when the car is stationary or has only done short/local journeys.
I have put some paper under the car. There was a relatively small amount of browny water on the paper after around an hour (on the front left as you look at the car from the front).
Can you suggest what may be wrong and the estimated cost(s) of putting in right?
I know there are additives that one can add to supposedly cure leaks (eg Barrs leaks) but the general consensus seems to be that they do much more harm than good.
What do you advise?
