I have a 1998 Toyota Camry LE V6 car. A few months ago a check engine light came on and because of this my car failed the state required emissions test. I took it to a mechanic and the code that came up was P0773 Electrical Solenoid, a transmission problem. So I took the car to a transmission shop and they replaced the solenoids, but still the engine light came on again. They checked everything and told me the transmission was in great shape and that it was probably some sort of electric issue or pressure issue.
Meanwhile my car cannot be driven legally bcs I cant take it to pass emissions (the tags now expired due to this) until the engine light does off. The car runs WELL, everything is fine, just cant get this light off.
Any ideas? I would rather not sell my car, but a few shops dont know what to do and I dont want to spend major bucks "investigating" what the problem is as most dont really know. Thanks in advance!
