Just to add to add to this one what is the problem your having crank no start?Have you checked to see what actual fuel pressure is checked for injector pluse?Does it have spark? Also have you checked the coolant temp sensor and connector they fail often and cause no starts.

So with the old fuel filter you still have 90psi fuel pressure?Thats the poblem too high of fuel pressure. The third nipple on the fuel filter is for the return line for the fuel.

There is no vaccuum line on that model because the vaccuum controled fuel pressure regulator was deleted and is in the fuel filter in that car. There is no cam sensor on that engine do you have a code?If so what is the exact code numbers? Also i wouldnt worry about the not firing just yet you need to get the fuel pressure under control.so with the old fuel filter installed you have 90 psi and with the new fuel filter installed you have 90 psi also? The fuel filter regulates the fuel pressure? What brand and part number filter are you using?

the code is p0172 when you check the gas pressure at the on position the psi is 48 when you start the car at idle the psi is 90. I replaced the o2 sensor on bank 1 today and still no change.I bought the fuel filter at advanced auto not sure what the brand is or the part number.I ahve also changed the coil packs and module.I cleaned the egr today was plugged but cleaned it anyway just to check. Is there anything else i can be checking i am at a loss no clue what else to do.

The excessive 90psi of fuel pressure is causing that P0172 so was the old fuel filter causing 90 psi of fuel pressure?

yes the old one also had a fuel pressure of 90 psi all the lines have been checked for kinks and there is none and i just changed the coolant temperature sensor and no change it still stumbling while u try to drive and if u rev the engine while at idle when u get to 4000 rpms it makes the car die

Yes your hitting the rev limter while in park or neutral it keeps you from over reving the engine. The only thing that keeps fuel pressure from going too high on that car is the fuel preessure regulator in the fuel filter. Are sure the fuel filter you installed has the built in fuel pressure regulator? Some of them dont have it.

The one i bought was a Purolator part number F65501 from advanced auto parts is there any possibility it could be the map sensor i tested the throttle position sensor and that seemed to be working alright

How can a map sensor cause the fuel pressure to be 90psi?For the code you have it says excessive fuel pressure can cause it first we need to get the fuel pressure down and go from there.

I dont see anywhere it mention that there is a fuel pressure regulator in it.Usually the cheaper ones dont have the regulator inside it.

when i called them they said it was the right one they charged me 50 dollars for it is it suppose to be more like 100 dollars for it with the regulator would the old one i took off have a 90 psi because it was bad they both read the same when i put the old one back on and the car was running fine until about the last 2 weeks then it just wouldnt move i really dont know much about cars do you think that advanced auto took advantage of me because i am a female and sold me the wrong one. if the car is cold i can drive around the block small block about 3 mins then once it starts to warm up is when it starts to buck.i checked the plugs and there not wet is that normal for them to be completly dry.

The plugs should be dry thats normal what scares me is the fuel pressure is almost 40 pounds too high.I know the pressure regulator in the fuel filter replaces the one they deleted that was on the fuel rail.I cant say for sure the one you bought has it or not it give many details about it.It sounds like a weak pressure regulator spring i found a recall on that very part number filter. It was for them built in 2004 though but it was for a weak pressure regulator spring.
