1998 Pontiac Sunfire failed emissions- No voltage at the DLC

Have you checked all the other fuses?Also see if the orange wire to the connector has power.

I get nothing back on my volt/multimeter when I check the orange wire. What steps do I take now or what should I do next? Or is this a sufficient amount of information that can exactly tell one of you car pro's out there what exactly the problem is and can tell me what to do? Please advise. Please..Thank YOU!

See if you have power to both sides of the cig fuse?

It has power on both ends

Now you have to find the open wire from the orange wire at the obd2 connector back to the underhood fuse box. I would look under the dash for a broken damaged wire.

After going back checking all the wires and fuses a second time- I ended up noticing that there was no fuse in the slot for the horn. (Some how the individual who had checked the fuses the 1st time around had over looked it) So we took the fuse for the cigarette lighter out, put it in the horn slot, and presto! Had voltage! Went right to emissions and passed the test, even without replacing the fuse that gives power to the cig. lighter.
