back up lights don't work

My back up lights don't work. i understand there's a sensor on the transmission that may need replacing and the you can access by removing battery. Need specific instructions and if possible a picture.

NEUTRAL START/BACK-UP LIGHT SWITCH

Removal & Installation

1. Disconnect harness connector from neutral start/back-up light switch, located on side of transaxle case. See Fig. 1 .

2. Unscrew and remove neutral start/back-up light switch and seal from transaxle case. Some ATF may drain when switch is removed.

3. To install, reverse removal procedure using NEW seal. Tighten neutral start/back-up light switch to 25 ft.lbs. Fill transaxle to proper fluid level with ATF.

well i replaced the switch and that didn't fix it. any other ideas?

At the switch there are 2 wires, White ( check for battery voltage with ignition switch turned on) and Violet/Black (going to reare bulbs.

If voltage is available at White wire, use a fused wire to jumop across both terminals and turmn ignition switch on to test if bulb lights up.

If battery voltage is not available, check the Fuse # 8 (10A) in fuse block.
