at warm idle car surges = lopes elect system shuts down each time it surges & comes back it is like If you disconnect batt & rehook it back up intake vacuum is 14 to 15 study at idle & raises going above idle rpms as high as 17 to 18 & settles back to 14 to 15 ckd cat temps about same temp in & out rt some times slightly hotter car runs ok on road mostly have renewed fuel tank & fuel pump filter, & all purge parts, computer, all sensors & solnoids complete tune up, run sea foam through intake oil looked black afterwards chged it car had over a gallon o water in tank & was run about a 100 mi before changing fuel tank & pump & filter & all other parts it was a lot o carbon & water burning in engine could this have overheated o partualy plugged cat. thank you

any water in the cylinders is a blown head gasket or a crack in the head leaking.

the water im talking about was in the gas tank not the engine i told you what all i changed i want to know about what i ask you not some off the wall answer read my problem completely & give me an answer the water wasn't discovered until about a 100 mi & i got the surge i started changing parts i want to know if i have late valve timing which could be timing chain or sensor or a catalatic converter or a type of ignition problem i had the engine renewed & it run good until i discovered the water in gas tank please reply thanks

u have changed so may parts it's going to be hard for anyone to help u over the net. normal engine vacuum is at 20 in. once you cleaned the tank and filter and replaced the plugs.should have fixed it unless u have valve damage. u will need to check the ignition timing and u need to do a compression test. then u will have your answer about a bad or out of time valve.
