stalls when I come to a stop light

I have a 1998 Oldsmobile 88. It starts fine, when coming to a stop, it shuts off. We put the machine on the car and the code came up as an O2 sensor. We changed it and it is still is doing the same thing and is coming up with the same code. Any ideas of what it may be?
