The mileage on the van is 149,500 kilometers.
- The brake fluid lining leaked and empty - the odometer stopped - the battery ran down &
when recharged, the alarm went on and I removed the alarm fuse to stop the scream.
- The timing belt recommended km reached, but no way of telling if they are good or not...

Any advice, please.

You have a brake leak, fill the fluid container and pump the brakes and see where it leaks.

You might need the key fob to reset the alarm system. Usually combination of locking the car and unlocking it while inside with the key in the ignition or placed in the door will get the system to reset.

Pull the timing belt cover and take a look at the belt and see if it needs to be replaced.
