Hi,I have a 1998 mitsubishi challenger.The engine light had come on but now we can't even start it?

We have charged the batteries - they are fine.
Dash lights all come on fine.
when you turn the key the car doesn't make a sound to even try and get started.

check for power at starter check ground to engine.

check battery cable connections on both ends. check syarter solenoid wire from key with test light/meter.
