Hi I bought 1998 e 240 merc 2 months ago, and when I ve driven the power streering wasn't smooth it was a bit heavy , cause my brother has got same car , when I driven that car power steering was very light and smooth so what it could be problem , thanks guys

Any unusual noises heard when turning (comparing your brother's car to yours)? There are several issues that can cause stiff steering. Here is a list of possible causes: Low tire pressure, stiff front ball-joints, stiff outer tie-rod ends, binding steering gear, binding steering shaft, slipping drive belt, low power steering fluid and a weak power steering pump.
