CAR wont start

my car wont start, could it be a starter or camshaft compressor sensor?..i put new batteries in the key remote, and checked all of my fuses but..my key wont engage and allow me to start the car but i have power to the car?.starter??..please help thanks

If the starter isn't engaging, check to make sure it is getting power. Have a helper turn the key to the start position while you check for power to the small wire on the starter.
