How do I go about getting the brake light turned off in my Jeep? There is nothing wrong with my brakes. I used the parking brake one day, went to turn off the parking brake, but the light remained on. Is this something I can do myself?

Thanks!

If brake warning light, it may be a bit low on brake fluid or the park brake light switch is faulty check these first.

I checked the brake fluid...it's ok, although i did have a brake fluid leak in the back. It's fixed, but now the light won't go off. Could I just turn off the brake light, or is that even possible for me to do it without a mechanic doing it for me?

Do you have a pressure equalisation switch in the barrel of the master cyl? if so remove pump brakes and refit switch.
