1998 Isuzu Rodeo Question Cruise control

I have installed all the components to the best of my knowledge for cruise control. I got the parts from the Junk yard and they have all been tested. The parts include: Steering column switch for coast, resume, acc etc. , Main switch on dash and the Actuator located in the engine compartment to the throttle control.
All conection points in the wire harness were already there from the manufacturer... It was my understanding that the system worked off of the ECM ( Im Not Sure) I went back to the junk yard and found a cruise control box located under center counsole from a 99 rodeo that had Auto trans. When I looked under my center counsole which is Manual trans there was no connector? Anyway the cruise doesnt work on my truck. My question is what am I missing? I see no fuses or relays designated for cruise.?

I have just doen the same exact things to my 1998 Rodeo with the same results. Installed all the components and I cannot get the switch to turn on. Did you have any luck getting yours to work?

there is a vacuem switch that mounts on the brake pedal.the vacuem hose goes to the actuator.since it didnt come with your car.youll need to get all vacuem hoses,all the wiring and parts.since there is no fuse you will need a fuse holder and splice into a ingition wire.

Well all of the wiring was pre-existing on the truck. all I did was add the components. As for the the brake mounted vacuum actuator, I didn't see it on the electrical schematic in the Haynes manual for the truck. It only shows electrical connections to the switch, actuator under the hood which connects to the throttle body, the cruise control ecm, and the set/coast/accelerate switch on my windshield wiper switch assembly. When I removed the components from a donor vehicle in the scrap yard I didn't observe any vacuum lines going to any of these components. I tried to hot wire (+)12 volts to the on off switch, but I still couldn't get the light on the switch to turn on. I even installed a light bulb in the instrument cluster for the cruise to tell you when it is activated. I also went back to the scrap yard and looked at the covers for the fuse boxes (Inside car for the dash mounted box/ Engine bay main fuse block) and I didn't even see a fuse dedicated to the cruise control system.

do you have a test light to use to check for voltage here and their?then i guess you found the 2 wire connecter that goes to the switch on the brake.there should be a hole and retaining clip on the pedal.did you find the harness for cruise lever? if you plug in the lever it should light up.there should be a yellew light then when the cruise engauge it turne on the green light when its engauged.when you hit the brake that switch cuts off the cruise.dont start sticking voltage hear and there please.youll be very sorry.use the test light to check for power at the cruise lever harness then come back.ty for using 2carpros
