Hello yesterday I bought a 1998 Infiniti I30 for 600 bucks from a friend and yesterday I tried changing the gears and the car was turning off. So I called my friend and he tried it out and he said the only reason it was turning off while switching the gears because the handbrake was on or the parking brake I don't know what it is. I want to know if the handbrake or parking brake has anything to do with it
