The relay is located on the left side of the steering wheel behind the diagnostic connector there is also a pocket below the connector, take the pocket out of the dash, the relay will be the middle one top row.

Does fuel pump relay operates through out the engine running. can engine + out side temperature cause relay problems, by increasing resistance due to temperature rise.

The relay energizes for 2 seconds when the key is first turned on. The weather can effect any electrical component but it's not likely.

Yes, those items are controled by the computer. However, I believe your car has an Auto Shut Down (ASD) that will kill the fuel pump and the ignition.

My Grand Daughter had a fender bender today and her car will not start. I injected a small amount of starter fluid and the car started for a few seconds, telling me that the inerta switch must have kicked off.

Where is he fuel pump inerta switch on a 2000 Accent?

Thank you

Jack

You don't have an inertia switch

If you can hear the fuel pump come on, when you turn key to run position-check the fuel pressure with a fuel pressure gauge to rule out the fuel pump-

You have a complicated problem here-fuel pump relay not energizing could be the computer controlled of the fuel pump relay and also the coil drivers in it. Have the computer tested.
