Temperature gauge not working

The temperature gauge does not work. When I start the car it is on cold and no matter how much I move the car it is still going to stay on cold. Can anybody tell me what is the problem?

It sounds like the coolant temperature sender has stopped working. Here is a guide to help you see what you are in for when changing he sensor out and diagrams below to show you the location for your car:
