Which brand of parts should I put on my car?
My tire totally ripped apart. The mechanic told me it was caused by my car being misaligned. However before getting the car aligned I need to change a number of worn suspension parts, the upper control arm (both sides, tie rods(inner & outer, both sides), axle (driver side), as recommended by the mechanic.
As I am trying to cut costs on such a big job, I don't want to compromise quality and my safety. For example, I have found upper control arms for as little as $25 a piece, all the way up to $200 a piece. I have researched brands from Dorman, to Raybestos, to Moog, to Beck Arnley & of course the original manufacturer. I need some guidance as to which brand to go with without over spending. I plan to keep this car for maybe another 50,000 miles.
