Brake pedal has failed a couple of times. Brake light comes on and pedal goes soft. If car is allowed to cool down it seems to be ok again. If brake pedal is pumped after car has cooled down it is ok. This has happened twice. Once while going down a mountain and second time while in peak hour traffic on a freeway
Mechanic has checked and replaced master cylinder, pistons e3tc but brakes are still locking up. He has been told by everyone from Holden 'specialists' to VACC that they've never heard of this happening yet it appears to be quite a common problem on the internet chat rooms.
Any suggestions appreciated.
