1998 GMC Sonoma no power to starter

Truck will start if jumped from the starter, but no when turning the key in ignition. Please help me.

What is the symptom? Do you hear the starter relay click when you turn the ignition switch to "crank"? If not, the starter system can be broken down into four parts. Each one has a test point at the starter relay socket. Do you have a test light or a voltmeter?
