1998 GMC Jimmy engine knocking

When I start the Jimmy a knocking noise is present when u Rev up the engine it gets louder and faster when at idle it stays the same knocking pace gets faster as you Rev up the engine could u help me to know what this is please and thank you

it may be a rod knock have a local pro listen but from your description that is what it sounds like. if you pull plug wire one at a time and knocking stops then that is the cylinder that is the problem.
