There is a key position between "lock" and "on" where the wheel is unlocked and the key is off.

That you will need a shop for because it involves the airbag and removing the steering wheel and extensive disassembly.

SOUNDS LIKE A LOT OF TROUBLE

TOWING W/ ALL 4 ON THE GROUND?

DROPPING THE DRIVESHAFT AS WELL?

THE OWNERS MANUAL MAY SHED MORE LIGHT ON CORRECTLY TOWING YOUR RIG....OR NOT

OTHER THAN LOSING YOUR PRESET RADIO STATIONS AND MAYBE AN "IDLE RELEARN" (IF THAT APPLIES TO YOURS) HOW 'BOUT A "BATTERY DISCONNECT" OR JUST TAKING A BATTERY CABLE LOOSE?

JUST SOME STUFF YOU CAN PONDER
