I have a 98 ford ranger with a 3.0L 6 cylinder that has blown up will a 4.0L 6 cylinder bolt right in if didn't want to replace with a 3.0 I really don't wanna have to buy new mounting brackets and if it will what other things would have to be changed I.E. Transmission or anything like that

It won't be a direct fit. Keep in mind, you will be changing wiring, sensors, maybe the power control module, vacuum hoses... I recommend getting a direct fit engine.
