1998 ford ranger 3.0 ,automatic,, shifts hard from 1st to 2nd,, speedometer not working and over drive light is on.. was told it was the speed sensor . is that correct? I can turn off the truck, crank it back up , drive around the block ,,,,drives fine , everything works ... the problem comes back several days later . this has happened twice
