V6 1998 mustang is stuck in park?

replaced break light switch, as well as the terminals and checked fuse 9, no break/turning signal, or emergency lights. what next?!

Check main fuses under the hood. Follow the wiring from the fuse back to see where power is lost.

First, do your brake lights work? If yes then the shift interlock at the base of the steering column is malfunctioning. Or the wire from the stop light switch to the interlock is damaged.

No break lights/emergency/ or blinkers

Ok if the brake lights dont work, niether will the interlock, so fix them first, and you will probably be able to shift check fuses 1 and 9, if ok, you will need to test and maybe replace the multifunction switch.

Checked fuses, all good. Multifunction switch? Is that located by the fuse box? Yellow?

So because my turning switch lever is broke my car is stuck in park and no break lights work or emergency lights?
