I had a ticking problem and fixed it by Putting new rocker/pushrods and lubed everything that was needed, with new gaskets. Well when starting and warming up. It was vibrating a lot and sort of jumping. With some smoke didn't smell like burning oil maybe coolant that was sitting on exhaust pipes for when I took of intake manifold, What is going on? There was a little rattling noise from like the bottom. I turned car off after like 4-5 min. I made sure all parts were torqued to the books specification also. recheck your work I tmay be a plug wire/boot cracked and it's missing. scan for codes.

Ok will go over work, could it also be that it is trying to relearn itself since it has been off the battery for a couple of weeks?

no because it relearns as you drive it may be a plug boot cracked or something like that I'd bet you get a misfire code.

Ok checked wires and had them mismatched but ordered them correctly by the book, but still the same thing. no codes and rpm is around 500. My dipstick oil also changed to a light color.

I am assuming this is a vinX engine and rockers should be torqued to 22-25 ft lbs then an additional 90 degrees and intake should have been torqued in sequence shown. lower intake should have been tightened in 4 steps, 22-89-115 inch lbs then11-13 ft lbs. it may be a vacuum leak.

Yes it is a VIN X, so I will retorque everything. Should I take valve cover off again and retorque the rockerarm shaft?

Because in the book it said rocker arm shaft
1995 to 1998: 46 to 52 FT-LBS Only the 1994 and earlier, 1999 and later said to turn an additional 90 degrees

Also will retightening stop the coolant leak in my dipstick because I have never had coolant in there before

have it pressure checked for a head gasket leak then if coolant in dipstick. rocker arms 2 turns at a time

Hello, I tighten the lower intake again and put the last torque a little tighter, but still has the same problem to vibrate and have low idle, will pushrods and the rockers be the problem to this?

scan for codes and check fuel pressure
