the serpentine belt on my 3.0 liter v-6 makes a chirping noise and has to be replaced every few thousand miles to stop the chirping noise. The original belt lasted years before it started the noise and has been replaced several time since. Is one of the pulleys worn? I am considering replacing the belt my self but the job looks daunting and looks like it must be done from underneath the car. I am fairly adept at repairing cars but I don't have many tools except a 1/2" metric socket set. Would I need to buy any special tools to replace the belt? Is there a step by step instructions on this web site?
