Does the timing belt skipping time effect the spark plugs and wires? I just got my car back from the mechanic and for some reason it seems to be missing a bit when i get to a stopping point. My car has also started smoking from under the hood which is a first time ever. Someone told me it could be.an oil leak nut i was told by the mechanic that he fixed the small leak that i had. So where could the oil be leaking from?

It could be leaking from dozens of places. You also could have bent valves from the timing belt jumping but i can't tell you if you have an interference engine because you didn't post an engine size.

Yes, that is an interference engine and usually does valve damage when it jumps time. You should do a compression and leakdown test to find out.
