Hello,i have a 98 chevy tahoe with 24 inch rim/tires.The steering has some play in it.I replaced the pitman arm , idler arm and the steering gear box.Which improved the play alot. I still have some which feels more than should be,also when i drive over bumpy or unevan roads it pulls to the left and or right depending what side of the road is ruff.I also hear a thump sound on the right side when i cross over a speed bump.

check your ball joints, putting large tires/rims on that throws off the steering geometry and if not corrected steering parts wear out exceptionally fast.

Checked the ball joints and they are tight.Would a front end alignment correct the steering geometry?
