how can i unclogged the egr exhaust port without removing the engine on 2.2L S10 pickup (1998)

i tried using a clothes hanger, didnt work. tried using air, didnt work.

I have seen people use the inner cable of a speedometer cable with the end frayed and the other end in a drill.You just have to be careful and make sure measure the cable before you start and after you start.That way you dont leave any broken cable anywhere.I would also soak some carbon cleaner in the port to loosen it up.

dissconnect the egr valve the inside of it is spring loaded spray it full of carb. cleaner take something small enough go in the hole work it back and forth til you get the carbon build up out keep spraying it and working it and eventually youll get it to work properly! this build up is normal caused by age & cheap gas !!!! you might use an additive & a higher octane fuel
