I have a 1998 K1500 chevy pick-up 4by4 5.0 305 engine my question to you is my temperature control is not working properly what happens is when i change from cold to warm it takes a few minutes or days but it changes it does it also when i go from warm to

when i switch from cold to warm on my temperature control it does not switch over right away it takes awhile sometimes it changes over in a few minutes and sometimes a day or two

this can be a vacuum or electrical problem depending on your system. there are actuators on your hvac unit that control heat as well as where it goes ( defrost, vent, floor heat) i'm sending a generic pic along of the actuators. they are either not getting good vacuum which could be a leak at control unit or not getting good vacuum from engine or the electrical isn't working correctly. check your fuses and relay.
