It is normal for the fans to come on when the A/C is on, to maintain airflow across the condenser, for efficient A/C operation. Describe more on the overheat, more specifically the conditions on which it gets hot. Does it happen relatively quickly, when idling or moving, does the hot light come on, and what has been done in an effort to diagnose?

I've noticed that when my car is idling the fans comes on later and when they do come on they run slower and the car runs hotter. But when I turn on the air they come on faster and the car runs cooler.I've replaced the thermostate and the heat sensor on the motor and the fans but it still runs hotter

The question is, does it overheat? Is it just a perception that it is running hotter, and what is it based upon? It sounds like the fans are functional, and may be operating normally. Does the temperature drift around the mid point of the temp gauge, cooler with the fans on of course? It would almost be advised to install a scan tool and compare what the ECM coolant temperature is, versus the gauge. If the scan tool is reading coolant temp data around the 214 to 224 degree range, it is operating normally.
