I am having a problem getting the Caliber Mounting Bracket Bolts off the car. Heat has been applied and 2 tools were broke in different attempts. The person that was doing it said that someone put the wrong bolts in it. He was able to get one off with no problem. Any suggestions? I don't have much $. I have called dealerships and got an est. from $100.00 to $400.00 depending on whether they can get it out without having to drill. I told them I already have the parts that need to be replaced besides the new bolts. Is this a reasonable price? What should I do? I don't have $400.00!!

If the wrong bolts were used, it will need drilled and tapped. I would say 100 would be a good price for that work. If they install your parts, they should charge around 1 hour labor.
