I don't have a amp meter. I have a dim light showing on my test light. I secured the door dome light switch. Each fuse was pulled one at a time(under the hood and from the dash panel). the light stayed dime. I do get a sizable spark when the neg. cable is re attached. Thanks for your help.

Invest in a multi meter they are not expensive and this will help with all manner of electrical problems you encounter with the car.

You may have a faulty alternator,do the amp meter test and remove the alternator feed wire, a blown diode can also cause this.

I really believed you were on to something. I disconnected everything attached to the alternator, the light remains on.I've ordered an amp meter on line and should be receiving it soon. In the meantime while I wait for the meter, if maybe you have one more suggestion it would be great. Thanks

After receiving the meter I attached it between the negative cable and battery. I started pulling fuses and I had a two plus volt drop when I pulled the fuse for the TBC 10 amp fuse. There is no longer a spark when the cable is touched to the battery. My problem now is I can't find out what TBC stands for. I've look in my Chev. shop manual with no reference. Please assist. Thanks, Bob PS. this fuse is in the engine compartment.

I need your help. After putting the fuses back in place I tried starting the engine. The engine starts and as soon as I let go of the key the it stalls .As long as I spray ether in the intake it continues to run.I've checked the fuel pump operation and it is fine. The fuel filter is clear also. I've checked all the fuses and exchanged the fuel pump relay. Please help.Bob

Some vehicle information, 1998 Chev. Blazer 4.3 engine 4/4. it has multiport fuel injection system. I gone my hands on a noid light .With it's attached and cranking the engine the light went on and off as it should. I cracked the fuel bleeder valve near the CSEFI fuel meter body and there was plenty of fuel. The last thing I've done was to slowly pour fuel into the intake. As long as the fuel was flowing the engine continued to run. I have no failure codes. I really need your assistance.Thanks.Bob

is fuel pressure at correct level, low pressure will be a problem as you will see flow if you crack the line but it may not be enough to get a good spray from the injectors.

I've done a lot since last in contact with you. However, I now have a code p1626 theft system fuel enabler circuit. That is just the way it responds. How you have some ideas?

Is this a new code? and will the engine run and perform normally? just try clearing the code and check again after a restart.

The code p1626 is gone. The security light will only go off when the key is turned off. I've not been able to start the engine and run normally .It will only start and run for the ten seconds, until the fuel shuts off. I've repeatedly perform the ten minute test with no good results. The latest repair done is to replace the ign. switch and ign.wiring harness. I've got a small fortune spent on this problem. Don't give up on me.

I had the car taken to the Chev. dealer and they used their test equipment on it and found a wiring problem under the dash on the right hand side. At a cost of $ 95.00 per hour and 31/2 hours I did drive the car home.Thank you very much for all of your help. Best regards Bob.

ok, glad you got it sorted, sometimes these problems are rather hard to diagnose over a computer with out getting to see the problem first hand and being able to do hands on testing.
