The engine has to be removed to do that.

their is a tsb for lower end oil leak and alota people on line with the same problem.some say remove screws and remove and some say remove the transaxle. i dont think their removing the tranaxle just unbolting it to prying back to get enough clearance to drop the pan.it only pays 10 hours and cost 1600 to 1800 for a stupid gasket.gl

I stand corrected on this. The oil pan does not have to be removed as the oil pump is in the front on this one. The flat rate time to replace it is just under 3 hours.

their is a fault in the oil pressure sys.lotta people are having a problem with the oil lite flashing and a oil leak from the pan.thats a new one on me to wrenchtech.look like you need to replace the oil presure switch.its on back of the engine block behind the r/f wheel.do this first because if oil pressure was low you would hear it knocking.always start with the cheapest repair.gl

I'm aware of the pan leak issue and that is the major problem that requires engine or trans removal but the oil pump is unrelated. It runs off the front of the crank.
