Changed fuel pump

Hi,
A mechanic changed my fuel pump recently and now everytime I turn left it seems like the fuel momentarily cuts off. It doesn't happen when I turn right.

Also, when I have about 1/4 tank of gas left the engine has a tendency to stall at traffic lights.

Could it be a fuel pump issue or installation issue? Thanks~!

Have the fuel pressure monitored to rule out the fuel pump-

I'm not sure what you mean by have the fuel pressure monitored. It only happened after installing the new fuel pump, the fuel pressure would most likely drop but that could also be due to the fuel pump not working correctly when I turn left... is that true? Also, I'm not sure how monitoring the fuel pump would help me... what should I look for or conclude?

Check the actual fuel pressure with a gauge though its new and report back with the readings-we pause here till I get the readings then we move from there-

Hi,
Do you know if my car has a OBD2 connector? I'm trying to get it to check the fuel pressure, I bought a OBD2 diagnosis device but I can't find the connector. I've read it is under the ashtray but its not there. I am based in Australia so I'm guessing the car is either JDM or european made and not USDM. Thanks.

The OBD2 won't give you the fuel pressure its the fuel pressure tester that will give you the fuel pressure-

Hi,
Yes I have gotten it figured out. It turned out the new aftermarket fuel pump's strainer is shorter than the original so I had to use the old fuel strainer in the new fuel pump and it worked. Thanks.

Check fuel hoses under hood around of steering column.
