I’m rebuilding my top end and I need to know if the lifters for the vehicle listed above SL model are the same size as the VR4. I can’t tear it down rn because it’s my dad. Thank you. -Rosko

Which engine does the 3000GT have? There are three options. The SOHC, DOHC, or turbo charged. I believe the DOHC and turbo engine are the same engine, just the addition of the turbo. However, the lifter for the VR4 appears to be the same for the SOHC engine but it is different for the DOHC and turbo.

So let me know what engine that has and that will tell us if they are the same. Thanks

The Mitsubishi 3000GT SL and VR-4 models have some differences in their engine components, including the lifters. Generally, the VR-4 models were equipped with more powerful engines and performance-oriented features, which might lead to variations in certain engine parts compared to the base or SL models.

To accurately determine if the lifters for the 1998 Mitsubishi 3000GT SL model are the same size as those for the VR-4 model, you should consult the official service manual for your vehicle or get in touch with a reputable Mitsubishi parts dealer or mechanic who has experience with these vehicles. They can provide you with accurate information about the compatibility of engine components between the different models.
