speedometer and tach malfunction

i would make sure they are bad before throwing more parts at it. a scan tool will verify the speed sensor.

the tach may be a connection either at the connector behind the dash or at the pcm. you need to verify part failures before throwing parts at it.

great thank you, i have a scan tool for my laptop that plugs into the obd port, however it is a minidisk? software question i guess are you familiar with minidisk for a laptop. i think its obsolete data material

there are comppanies that give you software for your laptop. i have bowser electronics that reads codes and info.
