brake warning light is on

likely the emergency/park brake switch. these often fail and cause the light to flash [assuming that the brake fluid reservoir is full]. there is also a recall on the brake light switch on these cars, so if the emergency/park brake switch is good let me know and i'll try to track down that recall (the dealer should be able to tell you if your car is included).
