Makes ticking sound when key is turned. it did start when it was jumped. is that the alternator? battery gauge shows charging. does start with jump. lights and radio come on. makes ticking sound.

Check the battery condition and connections if okay check starter relay, ignition switch and starter motor.

Do this bang on the starter motor a few times and attempt to crank over-what happened
