Hello guys,
About a week ago it started snowing heavily here at Columbus. But I had to go to work and I turned on heat plus I also engaged the wiper as to remove ice/snow accumulating constantly on the screen. However, within five to seven minutes the wiper stopped working. Initially I thought it got frozen and would work again when temperature gets higher. However, last week I could not get it working anymore. So is this the motor which needs to be replaced or there might be some tricks I do not know? Also, if the motor is damaged how much would it cost?
PS. I tried to pull the blades by hand, manually, to see if it works, but I cannot really move the blades even if I apply lot of pressure!!
Thanks in advance for any suggestions/comments!

it sounds like the motor has failed from all the snow in the motor itself.

Went to Firestone and they charged $211.00 for the motor and $90 for labor totaling $299.00. I asked why the part is so overpriced they said they want that much margin to run the business!

Thanks. I did find that it was a fuse. However, it is worth noting that the fuse box inside the vehicle is hidden behind the coin drawer on the driver side. Took a while to locate it.

Four cylinder front wheel drive automatic high miles

Bought this car two years ago. Last winter my wipers started not to work when it was cold outside. I noticed a bit of a noise when the wipers were working so I changed the wiper motor. Seemed to work fine until a couple of weeks ago the same thing started happening minus the noisy wiper motor. Could it be the wiper motor again? When I try to see if they are working my headlights seem to dim a bit or my heater motor seems to slow down. Help!
