how to replace cam sensor?

Removal & Installation

1. Camshaft position sensor is located behind upper timing belt cover, near passenger's side camshaft sprocket. See Fig. 4 .

2. Drain cooling system. Remove upper radiator hose. Remove necessary components for removal of upper timing belt cover. Remove bolts, upper timing belt cover and gasket. Remove bolts and camshaft position sensor.

3. To install, reverse removal procedure. Fill cooling system.

It's located in the side of the head as shown in the bottom of the picture. Check out the diagrams (Below). Let us know what happens and please upload pictures or videos of the problem. https://www.2carpros.com/images/external/79028252.gif

I am working on this vehical and need the location of the camshaft sensor I need to change it; can you tell me where the canshaft sensor is located on this vehical?if possible can you send me a diagram? will apreciate you have been very helpful to me with past questions...............

its a v6 3.0 efi

The info I looked at was for 3.0L.

I'll double check that on a different database.

My other databases didn't show a cam sensor, showed a distributor. That was the only picture I found. Some of the text said, front of right cylinder head.
