1997 Saturn SC1 Noises/Shakes

Brakes problem
1997 Saturn SC1 4 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic 107XXX miles

Been going on for a while but have no clue what it is. Kind of scary actually. EVERYTIME I break, a knocking sound starts (louder and LOUDER as a come to a stop.) It only happens when I break, never anytime else. Any ideas??

First thing I would check is that all the caliper bolt's are tight.If they are all tight then I would check every bolt in the front end is tight including the sub frame bolt's.Let me know what you find.

my car does the same thing load noise when stopping,also the rim is hot,have stopped driving it until i fined the problem

Have you checked everything in the last reply i posted including the wheel bearing tie etc for being loose assuming its the front wheel.Also the wheels will get hot especially the front ones from the heat of the rotor transfering heat into the rims.Unless its getting alot hotter the other wheel.
