check engine light will flash

When i start my car it will run fine for awhile....then the check engine light will flash and it will start to die....when i hit the gas it sputters and dies...could you explain this

my check engine will flash rapidly and then it will sputter and die but wont start back up for about 30 mins to and hour...ive changed the mass air flow sensor,ignition coil pack

Have the computer scanned for code/s-you have a problem within the engine management system that caused the CEL to turn on-This is your starting point of diagnosis,finding out what's going on.
