Hi,
I have a 1997 Plymouth Voyager mini van. The problem started with the instruments (gas gauge, speedometer) bouncing and making a ticking sound when the ignition was turned off, then while driving down the road the gauges would bounce around, then several days later the gauges would work intermittently and stick in a position, now they don't work at all!

I hate to take this to a dealer if I can fix it!!!
Can you help??
GB and thanks,
Terry

Check all the instrument panel fuses first, I am guessing a bad ground was causing earlier problems, blew the fuse. Check all grounds and look for corrosion at BCM connections. There is a good chance you have BCM codes set in the system, retrieve the codes and see if any come out. First check the fuses and wiggle some harnesses to and from the BCM to cluster, watch for trouble and isolate. Often there are corrosion issues with the fuse and relay module in the engine compartment, look for corrosion underneath the relay center. Also check for battery connections and fuse links at or near battery.
